Congratulations and Thank You to all those who joined us at Centennial Park on Friday, August 3rd for the IronGirl 2007 Triathlon Dress Rehearsal. It was a perfect day for over 675 women to practice the swim, learn about transitions, preview the run course and receive answers to many questions that were on their minds. The air temperature was about 80 degrees and there was a slight mist coming off Centennial Lake and the energy level and excitement among the women was high! It was a great group and we hope you all had fun while learning how to prepare for the race on Aug. 19th. We'd like to thank The Howard County Recreation & Parks, Howard County Government, the volunteers from the Mid Maryland Tri Club and all the other volunteers who helped to make this day such a success!
Maura Dunnigan, with The Women's Giving Circle in Howard County, created a message board and asked participants to explain why they are participating in the IronGirl 2007 Triathlon. Read some of the AMAZING RESPONSES!
