Paralyzed Veterans Association
Paralyzed Veterans of America works to maximize the quality of life for its members and all people with Spinal Cord Injury and Disease. PVA is a leading advocate for health care, SCI/D research and education, veterans' benefits and rights, accessibility and the removal of architectural barriers, sports programs, and disability rights.
Team PVA is a multi-sport team consisting of able-bodied and disabled athletes competing in multi-sports races around the country, all while raising funds and awareness for the Paralyzed Veterans of America Sports Program.
99% of all of the funds raised go right back into helping our wounded and disabled veterans, as well as disabled active duty military, participate in the sports and recreational activities they took part in before being injured including triathlon, duathlon, marathon, handcycle racing, bike racing, etc. These sports events promote a lifetime of health, fitness and wellness while providing opportunities for those with disabilities to gain sports skills and be among other athletes with disabilities.
